The energy of the moment speaks for itself

“You” don’t have a point of view—

“you” is a point of view.

Delores Kuechler

A friend uses the expression witnessing consciousness to describe the power of now. It’s a good description of that satori moment when the self is missing in action, but I prefer the expression acting awareness. More involved than the spectator in front of the movie screen (acting), but other than being aware, there is no self involvement. The energy of the moment speaks for itself, but it requires our participation to be set in motion.

I feel the present moment as a vibration at the back of my head. Thoughts remain absent and feelings are perceived as pleasant. Everything is flowing and while being content, it’s not a must-have situation though. When we slip out of it—when the participating “I” returns to the scene—we don’t mind either. Let the energy of the moment speak for itself and the self will naturally get out of the Way.
