Wishing for enlightenment

Opinions differ in the spiritual community even whether there is a quest, and if so, how to proceed on it. However, most tend to agree with two statements. One, it’s our mission to get our self out of the Way, and two, we are walking each other Home. It occurred to me that the first mandate, “get the self out of the Way,” is an impossibility. We are the self, so how should we get ourselves consciously out of the Way? The second mandate is more plausible, “we are walking each other Home.” Mostly unconscious, people of similar intent raise each other’s vibrations.

If you are disappointed to read about the impossibility to get anywhere with the help of a method like meditation, choosing love, self inquiry, religion, etc., don’t be. The effect is similar to the positive conclusion about our group interaction. It’s the intent that raises the vibration. While we cannot consciously accomplish anything, the moment we try to connect with that which is beyond the grasp of self, we appeal to our unconscious and That which is out of our conscious reach has our back. We are That, even though we currently have no conscious knowledge of this fact.

Imaginary free will implies we are doomed to travel the endless cycle of pleasure and pain for as long as we seek pleasure, yet the doors to Heaven open up once we see the futility of this approach and start looking for another way. That’s when the Way appears.
