The Tao that can be Named is not the Eternal One

I saw Deepak Chopra sitting with some scientists having a God debate a few years ago. I stopped watching after a couple of minutes, it was just too painful. Don't get me wrong, Dr. Chopra is probably the best in the spiritual community who could have this debate, combining his medical and scientific knowledge with his good spiritual intuition. Yet, when I looked at his serious facial expressions prior to the meeting and the fact that he took furious notes when the scientists were talking, I thought to myself, 'Come on man, lighten up. There is nothing to say on this subject; why on earth are you participating in this crazy debate?'

Sometimes I wonder what I will say to my more scientifically minded colleagues when they find out that I have a spiritual blog and even publish books on my experienced stroll along the Tao. I probably will just shrug my shoulders, smile and say, 'I am just being creative and poetic here.' I don't feel I have to defend my position vis-a-vis anyone. Yet, when it comes to my spiritual belief set, and in all my interactions with every sincere seeker, I am 100 percent committed, as everyone who knows me could well attest to.

I think Lao-Tzu put it succinctly many thousand years ago: 'The Tao that can be named is not the eternal one.' There is nothing to say, look to the right and see that your soul sibling sits right next to you, carefully disguised so that your ego can jump on something that you still have to understand and digest about yourself. You either see that fact or not; you are either willing to experiment with that Christian concept or not. Otherwise I just have nothing else to say on this subject.
