You Have a Choice

To forgive is merely to remember only the loving thoughts you gave in the past and those that were given you.
(A Course in Miracles)

We all want to be popular. We all want to be loved, yet, no matter how hard we try, some doors remain shut. Part of the problem statement is our over-active mind. We want, we strive, we demand, only to find after we get it that the grass looked again greener on the other side. When a door is closed, look for the open one instead. And please don't hold a grudge against your sister - she may have closed the door on you to protect you. Even if your paths are not crossing right now, they may be at a later stage, so please remember her favorable attributes instead of some recent faux-pas.

"Forgiveness is selective remembering" the Course in a Miracles writes. Given that it is you who does the remembering, you obviously have a choice in this! The other day I found this image in a spiritual community:

(You Decide)

It looks like you have an easy choice. Just pick love, forgiveness and happiness - it is very much in your power to see a smile where some others may perceive frowns.
