The Delightful Lever that Broke one Day

When you keep thinking about sense objects, attachment comes. Attachment breeds desire, the lust of possession that burns to anger. Anger clouds the judgment; you can no longer learn from past mistakes. Lost is the power to choose between what is wise and what is unwise, and your life is utter waste.
(Lord Krishna, Bhagavad Gita)

It is a sad fact that if you implant a neurological trigger of dopamine in a rat and give it the ability to activate it with the push of the button,  it will push and push itself into bliss and will eventually die because it is too busy to even find time to eat.

My hunch is that thanks to advancing technology and social media we will get closer and closer to manufacture the virtual reality we want to live in and always will find willing participants to play with us. It is not hard to foresee that this manufactured paradise will isolate us from life and will one day become a dead-end street.

Life is an ongoing choice, and in the long run, only life can give you love and bliss. Never mind bumping into a wall one day with your lifestyle choices that simply no longer work. It is the beginning of an awakening course that brings you closer to life and that simply blows your mind.
Keep the course and let the WAY rewire your brain. Just as the Bhagavad Gita states,

That which at first is like poison, but at last like nectar—this kind of happiness arises from the serenity of one’s own mind.

Life, and the right choices along the WAY, is the lever that supplies you with happiness and serenity, nothing else does.
