Present in Disguise

When we are sick, we hope that we can get better right away. We take medicine to minimize the symptoms, and do all sorts of things to make us feel better.  However, in our rush to get better, we actually lose the opportunity to be present with what we experience at that special moment,  and the question what made us sick in the first place.

We need to be present to know what’s going on inside of us; we need to be present to know which part of us is not functioning well so we can treat the root cause. With our rush to get better, and our hate to be one with that discomfort, we lose the golden opportunity to gather enough information about the present situation. We miss out on the chance to walk the path of healing, and how to learn from life.

Let’s be present here and now.  Let’s walk step by step and taste life the way it is designed for us. Pain or pleasure, whatever comes our way, we can treat it as a present. We don't have to be in a rush to go any place. Reconnecting with this truth, I got my present from life today.
