She Who is Centered in the Tao

She who is centered in the Tao can go where she wishes, without danger. She perceives the universal harmony, even amid great pain, because she has found peace in her heart. (Tao Te Ching)

Have you observed how much effort you spend to feel secure? Have you realized how driven you are to make sure that the worst-case scenario can be avoided? Have you ever asked yourself whether it is even possible to be secure?

So many of us are clinging to some situations that somehow seem normal and safe; the job that no longer suits us; the lover who no longer loves us; the routine that no longer works for us. We hang on to what no longer works for us because we hate change and we crave the comfort of the olden days instead.

It is not comfortable to feel uncertainty in our life. However, change is always part of it. The security we are seeking can be as fragile as a sand castle when change is coming our way. The beautify of a TAO traveler is to recognize that nothing can stop the incoming waves anyway, so we might as well be surfing them, perfectly balanced in all the up and down.

Let’s accept this constant movement in our life. Let's reside at the center, ready to rock to and fro in accordance with the situation at hand. Everything is constantly changing in this physical world.  Connect with your SELF and reside there. Let your world evolve and change with it.

Experience the serenity, peace and purpose in every situation as you stay centered in the SELF.
