Patience along the WAY

True mastery can be gained by letting things go their own way.
It can’t be gained by interfering.
(Tao Te Ching)

The trick in my line of work as a financial strategist is to sit it out. Markets go up and they go down. Themes comes and they go. Let the sentiment rise and watch it fall; same with enthusiasm, depression, fatigue, and excitement. You just sit there and experience the storm raging; the emotions, the fear, the greed, and the sadness. At work, I have become quite good at waiting for my turn. Yes, I feel often impatient and am itching to do something, but I wait for the SIGNS before I proceed. I just sit there and let the stew simmer, until it is ready to be enjoyed.

Spirituality is exactly like that. Yes, we want to help, and we want to have an ongoing conversation with GOD, but we also have a process to follow. When we try to help without being asked to, we will only suffer abuse and with it, resentment will rise. Same with our desired dialogue with GOD. We are human so we have to accept distractions and interferences. It is just like watching a cloudy sky, knowing that the sun shines somewhere up there. Things are always moving in the background, just sit there and let everything proceed as it does without interfering. Nothing can keep you from traveling the WAY, only you can.

Develop the patience and maturity to let things go their way. Interference with the WAY only brings head-aches and undesired outcomes. We let HER do HER thing, and wait for the opportunity to enjoy HER MAGIC.
