The Journey of a Light-Worker

Anyone who proposes to do good must not expect people to roll any stones out of his way, and must calmly accept his lot even if they roll more onto it. Only a force that in the face of obstacles becomes stronger can win. (Albert Schweitzer)

Albert Schweitzer was a light-worker in the Christin tradition. Being a light-worker myself, I certainly understand his sentiment. Still, I would put his message a little differently. Instead, I would argue that all obstacles are invites for us to adjust. The world doesn't need our saving, rather, we need the world's problems as a wake-up call to adjust course ourselves.

I would doubt that light-workers are meant to experience an ongoing uphill struggle, even though it can feel that way at times. If the burden is heavy, look for the SIGNS that invite you to let go of something. The WAY wants us to travel light. It is an honor and a privilege to be a light-worker. Enjoy every step of the WAY.
