Amazingly, on this New Year eve, I experienced this grace and suddenly I can see so clearly how my father really is!
He is a hardworking man. He did his best to support my mother and our family. When he was in his good days, he always helped my mom with housework and fixed things. He also helped taking care of us. I had the memories that he shampooed my hair, took me for trips, and took me to visit his family. He is very loving and gentle to me.
He tried his best to be a good father even though I didn’t appreciate his role model. Nonetheless, he did his best according to what he knew and what he learned. He provides us with a stable life and never needed to worry about food and money.
He doesn’t have any bad habit. If you really want to find a bad habit about him, the only one I could come out with is probably that he was obsessed with making money.
He is almost like an iron man. He could keep working for several months without sleeping much. He is very strong and healthy. He had several car accidents because he didn’t have much sleep. Even so, it seemed nothing could stop him from working hard until the day he fell unconscious. I have never seen anyone working like him. I used to hate him working like this. However, on this day, I have to thank him for working so hard and set up a very good foundation for us to be successful in our life.
I never appreciated my father and looked at him without bias from my memories and expectations. On this New Year’s eve, I am finally able to look at him as a human being with his struggles and weakness but at the same time with his wonderful strength! I am finally able to look at him from a whole picture and appreciate every thing he had done for me from my heart!
Dear dad,
Thank you for giving me this wonderful life! I love it! I really appreciate all the good genes you have passed down to me! Thank you! You are great!
Dear dad,
Also thank you for working so hard for all of us! You are great! Thank you for providing us with a nice house and all the things we needed to grow and have good education! Without your hard work, it is impossible for us to have such a stable life and wonderful life! All what we have today are from you! Thank you!
I love you, dad! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
