Walking a soul mission doesn’t mean that we are always successful. Yet, it always guarantees a sense of fulfillment. Expressing our soul mission also doesn’t mean that everything comes easily to us. Yet, somehow we will naturally glow when we live our dharma. Suzanne had that observation in one of her notes, and when I read it I could so resonate. Much as I was complaining about my old job in the competitive financial industry, I was always glowing in the midst of all the turmoil.
I hate stress and I don’t like working hard. So I prefer sitting there and just read, write or daydream. But it turns out whenever I can live a life as I wish and have others do all the hard work for me, I get fatter and find myself to be out of shape; I also don’t look as pretty. On the contrary, whenever I need to do all the hard works without choice, I always look glowing and stunning. So what’s good and what’s bad? Apparently, life knows best. Just follow the Way and embrace life to the fullest! (Suzanne Yang)
The biggest confusion in our spiritual community is that we somehow have a hostile view of our ego. As it turns out, we feel alive when our ego has a field day. What’s wrong with pursuing the love of our life? What’s wrong with having authentic power and doing a job we find meaningful? I work as a spiritual coach and often this job simply entails helping my clients figuring out what their soul mission is all about, and helping them to express themselves. Everyone should glow naturally. Have you found your soul mission yet?
