Spotting the holy moment at hand

 Unless the witnessing Consciousness

begins to play on the person,

and the person becomes

the object of observation

rather than the subject,

realization is not feasible.

Nisargadatta Maharaj

I was going mentally back in time and started interjecting what could have been said and done differently, when it struck me that prior to my awakening I likely had no idea what the holy moment was. You see, with awakening comes a little gift, the scheming mind, and our many emotional trigger points are often wowed into silence by the weight of the moment at hand. Therefore we as a subject have no business revisiting the past, or manifesting our desired future, since a much more potent Force already does this for us.

Nisargadata compared the weight of a person to the power of a candle. Why bother if we can bring light into the darkness by the mere power of opening a door and the windows and let the sunlight stream in. There is nothing special about me as a person though, I am just the guy who was encouraged to let the power of the sun do its illumination here now, but the truth is, any body could have done so. The moment we realize the person as the object in the play of Consciousness, the spiritual quest is over.
