A friend advises us to embrace love,
another urges us to be mindful of our ego.
A friend suggests to be aware of our feelings,
another wants us to be mindful of all thoughts.
All these dimensions point towards the truth,
but every method points at something outside.
If you don’t experience love, can you look for it?
If someone describes ego as external, can we grasp it?
If a friend wants us to feel deeper, we obviously don’t.
How can we mind our thoughts if they temporarily own us?
Just look at this leaf swaying in the summer breeze.
Spot the love in the dance of oxygen and carbon dioxin.
And why to talk of ego when it ceases in this meditation?
Also, when the mind filter falls, feelings become uniform.
All suggestions to do better and differently point outside.
The opportunity lies within. Drop reaching, let go and be.
