Teenagers need a little space from their parents as they have to break free from their controlling influence and discover and express who they truly are. Likewise in a spiritual quest, the trips up the imaginary mountain are all so different that some of us repel each other. We hang out in groups of likeminded and only occasionally a friend’s remote path lights so brightly that we cannot help keeping an eye on her. Still, we are destined to let go of our conditioning in our idiosyncratic manners until the blessed day when we all meet again at the path that merges into One.
