The ego doesn’t perceive Oneness

I have always been puzzled by the assertion of A Course in Miracles and J. Krishnamurti that love has no opposites. What about the struggle of good and evil—doesn’t it exist? Then it struck me that in the unitive experience the yin and yang of life doesn’t exist—by definition—and I also realized that this state of Oneness is our natural state, the polarity is the aberration. So, whenever hate seems to oppose love, let’s inquire to whom that war of good and evil occurs.

What we call ego is psychological response to the state of Oneness—the end of its self-definition—and like a basketball pops up when pushed under water, is bound to bring to our attention, expressed as the interplay of opposites, whatever it is that still gets our attention. Let’s keep inquiring, to whom does this play of yin and yang occur.
